Prison Songs Film Screening

November 15, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$12

Oxfam Australia invites you to experience a ground-breaking documentary that gives voice to incarcerated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Shot entirely behind bars, this funny yet achingly sad account of eventful lives is delivered in a most extraordinary way – through song.

Aboriginal men, women and children are incarcerated at alarmingly high and growing rates. Oxfam works with Aboriginal organisations across Australia to tackle this and other fundamental rights issues.

The evening will include the premiere of a short 8 minute film produced by Oxfam Australia and a Q&A session after the screening.
