Ross McMullin is an award winning historian and biographer, and an experienced and entertaining speaker.
Farewell, Dear People was awarded the Prime Minister’s Prize for Australian History and the National Cultural Award. Ross’s other books include Will Dyson: Australia’s Radical Genius and the award-winning Pompey Elliott.
Farewell, Dear People: Biographies of Australia’s Lost Generation retrieves the forgotten stories of ten gifted Australians of outstanding potential, men from diverse backgrounds and specialties, whose deaths during World War I exemplified Australia’s lost generation from that conflict.
They include an Antarctic explorer, a renowned winemaker, a Rhodes scholar, a rising Labor star, a brilliant footballer, and an internationally acclaimed medical researcher.
